“A good teacher can change a life, but a great teacher can make you laugh, cry, think and remember them forever.” On Monday, 5th October 2026, the usual morning assembly at Froebel Education Centre turned into something far more special. The school came together to celebrate the people who spend every day shaping minds, building confidence and, sometimes, trying very hard to keep a classroom full of energetic students under control!

The Teacher’s Day celebration was thoughtfully organised by the Head Boy Bilal, Head Girl UmmeKulsum and the FEC Event Committee, who put tremendous effort into creating an assembly filled with heartfelt words, laughter, surprises and plenty of emotions. It was not simply a celebration; it was a small tribute to the teachers and staff members who make school feel like more than just a place of learning.

The speeches were undoubtedly the heart of the event. The Head Boy’s speech was particularly touching and filled with genuine emotion. His words reflected the gratitude students feel towards teachers who guide them, encourage them and stand by them even when their students test their patience! There were moments when the assembly became completely silent, followed by laughter when a funny comment or familiar classroom memory found its way into the speeches.

The teachers were not spared from the fun either! Miss Uzma Yahya, Miss Seemin, Miss Zarqa and Miss Rabiya, along with the rest of the faculty, became part of a celebration where their personalities shone just as brightly as their teaching. Their witty and emotional comments throughout the speeches and poems made everyone laugh. At times, it almost felt as though the teachers had secretly taken over the programme!

One of the most memorable parts was a special reel featuring messages recorded by students for their teachers. The messages ranged from sweet and emotional to wonderfully funny. Some students expressed how their teachers had inspired them, while others reminded everyone that a teacher’s famous “I am waiting” can be more frightening than any horror movie!

Beautiful poems added another emotional touch to the celebration. The words captured appreciation, respect and affection for the teachers who make a lasting difference in their students’ lives.

To make the occasion even sweeter, teachers were presented with chocolates as a token of appreciation, while the school staff were also warmly thanked and given chocolates for their valuable contribution.

By the end of the assembly, there were smiles, laughter and a few emotional moments all around. The celebration proved that Teacher’s Day is not only about saying thank you. It is about recognising the patience, humour, kindness and dedication that teachers bring into school every single day.

It was truly a celebration to remember, because sometimes, the best lessons are the ones that are never written on the board.
